With a little under two weeks until Labor Day weekend it is a great time to get over to Port Townsend to enjoy the last of the summer weather. The dahlias are blooming and just strolling through the Uptown neighborhood can offer some lovely views of water, gardens and Victorian homes. The weather this time of year is perfect for a weekend getaway… so why not plan one?
The Port Townsend/Coupeville route will be on its regular schedule on the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 28. Customers are strongly encouraged to make reservations in advance for holiday weekend travel on this route by visiting the WSF website or calling 511. Expect heavy traffic and long wait times westbound Thursday evening, Friday afternoon and evening, and Saturday morning, and eastbound on Monday. Please consider traveling outside of peak times to avoid the longest waits.
We are again hosting the Victorian Festival Teas this year. I’m a tea drinker and huge fan of the whole process of having “Afternoon Tea”! Something about “tea sandwiches & scones” always gets my attention…
Join us for a lovely time with friends and tea, here at the Blue Gull Inn, March 24~25…see you there!
