The Port Townsend Marine Science Center is celebrating 30 years! Located out on the pier at Fort Worden State Park, it is a cool place to visit. It’s not just for kids either. The goal is to encourage people to get involved in making decisions that impact local, national and international marine and shoreline environments. The center itself has its own blog page and offers exhibits showing local marine and shoreline habitats. It is a chance to see what’s below the water… without the risk of hypothermia. A Discover Pass is not required to see the Marine Science Center, make sure to get a temporary to put in your car, but they are encouraged.
