The Blue Gull Inn is appropriately named for the many Blue Gulls, the common gulls, that sit atop the gabled roof and wait for the leftovers from breakfast! Along with one of Port Townsend’s oldest and largest trees, a giant Monterey Cypress, this grand old home has long been a gem in the heart of Port Townsend’s Historical Uptown District.
We are not a traditional Victorian. We want to offer a more casual Country style… with comfy furniture, eclectic collections, and a relaxed atmosphere. The house is now over 140 years old, built just 3 years after the end of the Civil War.
Our parlor is available for guests to use and enjoy a homemade cookie or other special treat and cup of tea or coffee. You may unwind by reading a book, chatting with Innkeepers about things to do in the area or looking over the local restaurant menu’s. Our favorite local restaurant is Lanza’s Italian!
The lovely gardens are a great place to visit on warm afternoons. We have regular visits from the locals: raccoons, deer, squirrels and eagles are just some of the “perks” of living in beautiful Port Townsend!
We hope you’ll choose to stay at Blue Gull Inn while visiting the great Pacific Northwest!
