There are breathtaking views from many points at Fort Worden State Park, here in Port Townsend. There are wooded trails galore for hikers, and a few paved pathways for those of us who like a more comfortable walk. This is the view from the upper bunker loop, located at the back of the park. It’s a 1/2 hour or so walk, up through the madrona trees on a nice paved service road.

Teddy—

I can’t leave out our “other grandchild” from Whidbey Island. She comes to visit sometimes on weekends, but doesn’t live with us every day. She is a sweet & shy chow mix named “Teddy Bear”, or “Teddy” – Teddy, Eddie & Jin! The little dogs love her to pieces, but does return their affection? Uh, not so much…
Teddy belongs to our youngest daughter Brooke and our future son-in-law, Ryan.

Ed is very friendly, loves our guests and vice versa. He and Jin are the best of friends, and stay with “Grandma & Grandpa” most days while the kids go off to work. How did that happen, anyway?!!
We love this family portrait taken by Ryan P. Burns. Our middle daughter Bonnie, “baby Ed”, and future son-in-law Rickey.

Eddie is
the newest addition to the Blue Gull Inn family, he belongs to our kids, Bonnie & Rickey. He is a 4 month old terrier/dachshund mix adopted from the Kitsap Humane Society. He’s quite energetic and really gives Jin a run for her money.

Our resident “Pug-lett” loves to hike the beautiful State Parks around the area. She’s always happy to pose for a picture, especially when she’s calm and relaxed after a leisurely hike at beautiful Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island. The park is just about an hour from Blue Gull Inn Inn, and makes a great day trip!!
