Meet “BMac’s Sloe Jin-Jin Fizzie”, or “Jin” as we call her. She enjoys camping trips, and here she found a stump to sit on at Deception Pass State Park. She’s a wild thing at 6 months old, and belongs to our daughter. For now, this is as close as I get to a grandchild!

We had a first yesterday, breakfast for a large group served outside! It was lovely weather fortunately, and we set up for 18 guests. We made breakfast burritos, with muffins, fruit & hashbrowns. Sue from Quimper Inn down the street, contributed the condiments, as part of the guests were staying at their Inn. It was loads of fun, and the guests were wonderful & happy!

“Bonnie’s Pinwheels”, made from an Elenor Burns pattern, this quilt is huge! I made the queen size version, but I swear it will fit a king size bed!

This is our local ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island. It’s a fun trip across the bay, about 30 minutes time, where you can read or snooze, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Many guests stay with us in Port Townsend, and take day trips around the area. One popular spot is Salt Creek Tidal Pool. It’s just over an hour from here, and you can spot all manner of sea life there. Beautiful and educational!

The biggest festival of the year has to be Wooden Boat. We have guests from all over the world that come here for this event. One year we had over 90 wooden boats in Port Townsend Bay. Port Townsend is one of 3 Victorian Seaports in the USA. There is music and lots of great activites and information on wooden boats. One year we had a battle between 2 ships in the bay.

We have lots of Bald Eagles in our area, and in the winter they love to perch in the cottonwood tree by the Inn. Isn’t he great?

This is the Point Wilson Lighthouse and Coast Guard Station, with Whidbey Island across the water at the entrance to Puget Sound. When the tide is out you can walk all the way around the lighthouse on the beach.
